it’s not fair to ascribe political motive to mar roxas’ suggestion that edsa be renamed in cory’s memory. in fact, no one but himself knows what drove him to push the idea.

but it will be fair to say that at the time, roxas, like many of us, was moved by the high emotion of the moment.

did he overreact? probably. did he do it for political gain? may be not.
